Hello everyone! Today I joined the colour challenge for the global design project.

It’s not a combination I would have chosen, so I think it’s fun to challenge yourself.
I thought about a previous card that I enjoyed- Click here to go to the original card that inspired me!
I started with heat embossing in white the birds. Then I used my blending brush to softly build up the colour using Bermuda bay ink. I do really love this effect. I then placed a 2″ punched circle over the end of the branch, and again, used my blending brush to build up colour. I then removed the circle and was left with a circle image, without the layer. I added a few splatters using my Stampin blends.
Then I glued my layer onto a real red layer, with just a 1/16″ border, so it was just a hint of the red. Then I tied some of the blushing bride twine (from the snail mail twine combo pack) around the layers three times. Then I adhered my layers to my base card of Bermuda bay.
I added my sentiment, stamped in Bermuda bay onto Blushing bride card, and popped up on dimensionals.
I decided to just subtly highlight the flowers and the birds, by colouring with my blushing bride Stampin write marker. I added a few elegant faceted gems to finish.
I hope you enjoyed this card, and I’ve inspired you to challenge yourself! To take a look at everyone’s entry’s please Click here
