More ‘Blossoms in bloom’

Hi everyone! So I am actually loving the ‘Blossoms in bloom’ bundle! It is just so gorgeous! I have made two cards today. I started by die cutting the thin outline out of whisper white. The dies are so intricate! I decided I didn’t want to use the whole die cut today, so I snipped it into two.

For my first card, I took a piece of watercolour paper and did a wash of Balmy Blue. I only did the wash in the middle section of the paper. Once dry, I splattered it with my Stampin’ write marker in black, just to add some interest. I then glued on my piece of the die cut. I mounted the watercolour paper onto whisper white, and again onto black. Then adhered all to my base card of Balmy Blue. The sentiment I heat embossed in white, onto black. I love this effect, it really pops! I adhered this using dimensionals. I added a bow, which I actually made from snipping some of the twine from the multi pack flowers for all seasons. I then pulled away the blue colour, leaving the white and silver. I added a few rhinestones and I was super pleased with how it looks!

The second card I made using the piece of die cut that I had snipped off my first card! This whisper white piece I gently coloured using a watercolour wash. Make sure you do this gently as it isn’t watercolour paper! I love the different tones of Balmy Blue it creates. My base card is Balmy Blue, and the layer of whisper white I actually embossed with one of the ‘Greenery’ embossing folders. These folders are fab! I carefully glued my die cut piece into my embossed layer, and snipped any overlap away from the sides, but leaving one whole flower to stick out. I then adhered this to the base. I then used the two smaller flower dies (the thin outline) that you get in the pack of dies, and cut them out of Misty Moonlight, and used glue carefully to attach to my card. The sentiment is again heat embossed with white, but this time onto Misty Moonlight, and again popped up with dimensionals. I used a few rhinestones and also a few faceted gems.

So there you have it. A couple of cards using one die cut piece! I can’t decide which one I like more! Have you got a favourite? I’d love to know!
