Family party stamp set and making my own DSP

Hey everyone! For today’s card I’ve taken inspiration from both the Global Design Project, and TGIF challenges! I’ve gone to the absolute dream stamp set ‘Family party’ to create a bright-and-happy birthday card!

The Global Design Project challenge this week was to use the three colours; Just Jade, Magenta Madness, and Bumblebee.

The TGIF challenge this week was to create your own DSP (Designer Series Paper).

I thought why not combine the two- and so this card was what I’ve come up with! I used the amazing stamp set ‘Family party’ which I think is so versatile and you can create so much with! I knew I wanted to make my own DSP by using the little present stamp from the set, which comes as two stamps; one for the block if colour, and one which has the dots and bow. I made the DSP by repeat stamping these little presents all over my whisper white cardstock. I used the three colours from the Global Design Project challenge to create my presents.

I then adhered this homemade DSP to my base of Just Jade. I took a piece of actual DSP in Just Jade and glued to my card, towards the bottom right corner. Then I stamped my sentiment; Just Jade for ‘Happy’ and ‘Birthday’ in black, and cut out with one of the rectangle stitched dies. I popped dimensionals on and adhered to the DSP piece.

I then stamped three presents in the challenge colours, and fussy-cut these out, and then popping on with dimensionals. A few rhinestones complete the card.

I’m really pleased with how this ‘double-challenge’ card turned out- a really bright, cheery happy birthday card! I love being inspired by both these challenges!
