Hey everyone, hope you are all doing well? I had to make a thank you card this week so I thought I’d whip up a few in different colours. This week’s global design project challenge was to create a thank you card so I joined in this challenge!
I used the note cards from Stampin’Up! -such an easy way to create! I added a layer of white, and to this I stamped the big ‘thanks’ sentiment from ‘biggest wish’ stamp set. I lined it up by eye at the very top, stamping first generation, then lined it up right below and stamped second generation. (This means not inking up again, just using the ink that is left on the stamp from the first time). I then repeated this down the card til I got to the bottom. (You could do this with the stamparatus to easily line up, but I just did it by eye)
Once I’d stamped the big ‘thanks’ all down the card, I then got the smaller, more handwritten-style ‘thanks’ and I heat embossed with silver. This I did in the gaps; the area which I had stamped second generation, so was the paler colour.
I love the pastel colours of these cards, you could give these as a set to someone as a gift, or just make a set for yourself. You can never have enough thank you cards!
I hope you liked my cards and I’ve inspired you to make some. If you’d like more inspiration on the ‘thanks’ theme, head over to the Global design project to see all the wonderful designs!
