Birthday, Class projects, sweet as a peach

June class projects

Hello! These are my projects from my June class. We had a ‘masculine’ theme, as we have Father’s Day coming up, and it’s always good to have cards you can send to the men in your life.

The first card is a simple one made with a base of basic grey, and a layer of white. Then I used 3 tailor made tags dies: one Smokey slate which I also embossed with the dots embossing folder, the other two are from the ‘sweet as a peach’ DSP. This DSP is great, as not only do you get the gorgeous peach images, you also get the reverse side which has more neutral patterns. I then die cut the DAD from the playful alphabet dies and glued one letter per tag. I added some white bakers twine to enhance the tag theme. Watch my YouTube tutorial here

The next card was made using the ‘word wishes dies, cutting the words in alternate colours of black and Smokey slate. I had a base of balmy blue, then a layer of black. Then a layer of white which I embossed with the checks embossing folder. My layer was too big for the folder so I had a little of the edge that wasn’t embossed. No problem! I just used a piece of DSP to cover it! I also used a tiny piece of glimmer paper from my stash, just to add an extra element to the DSP border. Then just glued on my words and that’s it! The last card I took a base card of Pacific point, and added a layer of black. Then a layer of white, which I used the stitched greenery die on. This die in my opinion is a must have! It makes a stunning background with the minimum amount of effort. Absolutely beautiful! On this I took some more of the stripy reverse side of my peach DSP and glued across the middle-ish of my card (roughly 1″ but you can use whatever you have, or however thick you’d like it to be). Then I took my tailor made tags dies, and cut a Smokey slate one, and a slightly smaller white one. On the white I stamped my sentiment, from ‘sweet as a peach’ stamp set, which has some lovely sentiments in great fonts! (I do love a good font!) I finished with a white bakers twine bow, adhered with a glue dot. You can watch my YouTube tutorial here

I hope you like my projects, and I’ve inspired you to have a go yourself!

Love Jane x
