Class projects, Little Twinkle

August class projects

This month’s class projects were all star related! We used the Little Twinkle stamp set (which I LOVE!), along with Stargazing and Leave a Little Sparkle. I know I’m biased but I totally love all of them!

The unicorn is from Leave a Little Sparkle, and it’s white heat embossed onto shimmery white card. Then a watercolour wash of Pool Party over the top. We even added some Dazzling Diamonds glitter for the all-important sparkle!

Tip- use your silicone mat and add a little Tombow glue. Then take a sponge and dab it in, then dab it onto your card where you’d like your glitter to be. Sprinkle on the Dazzling Diamonds glitter and it will stick where you’ve added your glue!

The lucky stars card is from the Stargazing stamp set. Make a window using the stitched dies. We used the biggest square. Turn to the inside and pop tear and tape all around the edge. Now stamp the sentiment using Stazon, onto a piece of window sheet. Set aside to dry. Punch out stars from the matching punch from glimmer paper. Now adhere window sheet to inside your card onto the tear and tape. You have created your window!

Then I wanted to add our stars to make a kind of shaker card but not as thick if that makes sense. So instead of using foam strips or dimensionals, I just used more tear and tape all around edge again, onto piece we’ve just stuck down. Then you need to ‘sandwich’ the stars you’ve punched out in between the window and a piece of whisper white. Before adhering the whisper white, add a little Dazzling Diamonds glitter. Once adhered, you’ve made a little type of shaker card. It won’t move too much, which I like!

The last card is heat embossed with silver which looks stunning πŸ’™Β The two hearts along with the little stars just makes itπŸ’™ The sentiment is cut by hand and added to a piece of Pool Party cardstock which is die cut using the stitched rectangle dies. I added some silver metallic thread before popping up on dimensionals.

Well I hope I’ve inspired you today and you will make some star-tastic cards!!
