Hi everyone, I know it’s a little early for the C word (Christmas!!) But I have been playing with the new Christmas cheer dies from the new mini catalogue from Stampin’Up! As you know, I love the happy dies, so I’m giving some love to the cheer dies…
I’ve also been using the stunning sequin paper which is sooo sparkly! 🤩 It’s hard to photograph, it’s so gorgeous in real life! Also, this is a FREEBIE during sale-a-bration!
I made a few variations using the same colours. Basic grey and black mostly with a couple of extras. The first has a thin border of white behind the black, and the sequin paper I die cut the detailed cheer die, but then I snipped off the details and had the individual letters going across. I added a few holly leaves from the same die set, and I love the simplicity and elegance.
The second card I stamped the base card with the big floral stamp from the set, and that gave a bit of interest to the background. The black I embossed with the new 3d wintry embossing folder, then swiped my white ink pad across, to highlight the raised parts. The ‘cheer’ again, I snipped the letters, and placed them going diagonally down the card, but I left the details on. Just a different way of using the die.
The third card, I kept the cheer background die whole, and added the thin letters in coastal cabana. I also had some detailed bits left over from snipping them off in a previous project, so I added those around.
Just having a play really and seeing other ways of using the dies. Hope you like!
Love Jane x
