These dies make me so happy and I am a bit obsessed! They just make such a gorgeous card so easily!
I used the new star crossed embossing folder and cut it in half, where the two halves change. One is stars and the other part is chequered. I wanted just the stars, for a star themed card I was making, then I used the leftover part to make another card!
The first card was all stars, so I used a base of white, and a layer of black, and added my Star layer, along with some vellum; this softened the black.
For the happy, I used the background of black, then the thin happy in Mint macaron. I didn’t want the details on the background, so just snipped them off! I love this look π
I added some stars from the same die set, Christmas cheer, as well as some adhesive backed stars. The sentiment is from A Grand Kid stamp set, which I heat embossed with white onto black.
The second card I made with the leftover part of the embossed piece. Again, I used vellum on black as my background, but this time I left a tiny border between the two pieces. Then my happy dies were Pale Papaya, and black. I used my sweet as a peach stamp set and matching dies to give a more floral tone to this card. My sentiment is from the same set, and I just snipped the happy birthday in two, just using the birthday part. Finished with a few rhinestones and it’s a simple card made with the leftovers from another!
Hope you like these cards, and I’ve inspired you to give the star crossed embossing folder a go.
