Hey everyone! Thought I’d share the projects we made at this month’s class. I focused on our wonderful DSP. For those that don’t know, that is Designer Series Paper. These beautiful papers are so gorgeously gorgeous, they can make a card in seconds. I taught a few ways to use your DSP. Hope you like!
I do have video tutorials for these cards, if you’d like to. They are available on my YouTube channel. https://youtu.be/bjmFnp3TI64
For the first card, I used a base of Crumb cake, then a layer of DSP. I used the ‘Oh so ombre’ from sale-a-bration. Love a freebie!! You can get these papers for free, with a £45 spend (UK). Just head to my online store. I then used a layer of whisper white, and cut out a rectangle from the centre, using the stitched rectangle dies. I kept the outer piece for a later card. I glued the rectangle to the centre of my DSP, and then used some die cut flowers from the ‘Petennial petals’ dies. I used a die cut thanks, from the well written dies.
The next card, I used the piece from the previous card to create a border. I used a base card of Rococo Rose, and glued the border on. For the space in the middle, I used a piece of the DSP. I cut my DSP sheet at 3 7/8x 5 1/2″. The leftover piece I cut down to 3 1/2″ to fit in the gap. I then used two die cut flowers from ‘Perennial petals’ dies. I stamped the ‘happy’ from the stamp set ‘Pretty perennials’ and popped up on dimensionals. The ‘birthday’ I stamped, again from ‘Pretty perennials’, on the little strip of DSP leftover from my layer. I love stamping onto DSP for a different look. I finished with a few pastel pearls.
The last card I used the DSP ‘petals in bloom’ again a freebie during sale-a-bration. This is a fab pack as it coordinates with ‘Pretty perennials’. This time I used the circles. I cut out 4 circles, and glued them down. Then I used the strip of DSP from earlier, glued that across the centre. Then used the last leftover piece, flipped it over using the reverse side, and glued that down. Again I stamped the happy from ‘Pretty perennials’ and popped up on dimensionals. The birthday was the same as before.
I hope you like these cards, and if you would like to join in my next class just let me know!
