Brand new Stampin’Up! Blending brushes!!

Hey everyone! Hope you’re all okπŸ’™

I received my brand new blending brushes from Stampin’Up! and I just HAD to get them straight out and play! I am so pleased I ordered them! I’m in love!

So for this card I have taken inspiration from the Global Design Project, and this week’s challenge was a sketch. I loved making this card so much, I hope you like it tooπŸ’™

I started with a base of Purple Posy card, which I stamped along the top and bottom with the little snowflakes from Snowflake Wishes stamp set. I then took some offcuts from my Snowflake Spendor DSP and cut two strips to go either side of my layer of whisper white. I stamped again using the little snowflakes, this time in versamark and heat embossed with white. I wasn’t happy with how dark it was, as I wanted a pale tone to go with my design. So I cut a layer of vellum to go over the whole card. I still wasn’t happy (lol) so I took some offcuts of some Seaside Spray card (what a surprise!!) and I cut strips to go just behind my layer of whisper white. I was much happier with this effect!

I then took my whisper white layer and one of my new blending brushes, and used Seaside Spray ink (ooh what a surprise!) and I just had a go blending. I found it took a while to build up the colour but it was so soft and I just adore the soft tones it creates. I started in the centre, where I knew I would be covering with a sentiment, and just went in circles outwards. When I was happy with the coverage and colour,I adhered the layer with tombow. I cut some snowflakes from whisper white using the So many snowflakes dies. I used a whisper white die cut from the stitched nested labels dies and offset it towards the left hand side, popped up with dimensionals and just trimmed the excess away. I tied a bow from the twine from the combo pack, Flowers for every season. I didn’t want the blue ply, so I carefully pulled it away, so was left with the white and silver. I adhered with a glue dot. I then glued one snowflake, and one popped up with dimensionals. For the sentiment, I used the big stamp from Tag Buffet stamp set, and heat embossed with white, onto Purple Posy card. I then just cut the words from the phrase that I wanted to use. I popped these up with dimensionals.

I am super delighted with this card, and the colour and everything just make me happy! I love the blending brushes, so will be using these a lot!

Thanks for reading πŸ’™
