Retiring products! Label me bold

Hey everyone. So the new catalogue is due very soon, but I’m showing some love to the retiring products from the current catalogue. First up is the gorgeous ‘label me bold’ set.

For this I took inspiration from a Stampin’Up colleague from the USA, Ashley Van Camp. She created a rainbow using the set, so I wanted to do the same. When you take inspiration, it’s called CASE-ing. CASE means Copy And Selectively Edit. So I took inspiration from Ashley, and CASEd one of her cards.

Obviously I made some changes and made it my own, but I love taking inspiration from everywhere. If I’ve inspired you, then please let me know- I’d love to see what you’ve created!

I stamped my rainbow first- I stamped the happy birthday in 6 colours- Poppy Parade, GRAPEFRUIT GROVE, PINEAPPLE PUNCH, CALL ME CLOVER, BLUEBERRY BUSHEL and Gorgeous Grape. *Capitals are retiring colours.

I then made my card base from Coastal Cabana and stamped in the same ink around the edges using the little stars stamp.

I then used the rectangle stitched shape dies to cut one in Gorgeous Grape, and the slightly smaller one in Whisper white.

On the whisper white, I stamped the little stars again all over in versamark, and then heat embossed with white. I then brayered some Coastal Cabana over the top to add some subtle colour.

I attached the Gorgeous Grape layer to the base, but first wrapped some white bakers twine (*retiring too) around and tied a bow. I then popped up the whisper white layer on top, using dimensionals.

I then popped each colour happy birthday on using dimensionals. Love!!
