Hey everyone I made this sweet card starting with a scrap piece of DSP! It’s funny how some things start with just a leftover scrap, and go on to create something lovely 😍
The scrap piece was an offcut from the butterfly paper left from sale-a-bration. It caught my eye and I popped it down the side of my card. I then created the rest around this!
So I made a layer of whisper white to go next to my DSP, and to ‘connect’ the two, I felt it needed something…which is when I grabbed some washi tape (from my stock). I then die cut the biggest circle from the stitched shapes dies as a background for the words- happy birthday die- from glimmer paper. Before adhering I very gently stamped using a stampin sponge, with flirty flamingo, petal pink and a smidge of Highland Heather. This just gave a pop of colour behind. I then added some flicks of champagne shimmer paint, because obviously I HAD to!! -i just looovvvee this effect lately 😍
I also added a few loops of rose metallic twine onto the back of the circle before fixing it into place.
I added ‘my friend’ from the Little Elephant stamp set, which I heat embossed with white onto black cardstock and cut out. This brought the black in from the DSP colour. A few sequins and rhinestones, and I love how it all came together.
Hope you like it and I’ve inspired you to give those leftovers some love 😍
