Hey everyone, these cards were for a few of the students I have been privileged to work with for the last 5years! Where has the time gone?!
I just HAD to include some Seaside Spray didn’t I?! I know, I can’t help it. I love this colour! I hope Stampin’Up! bring it back one day? 🤞🙏
I used the gorgeous ‘Playful alphabet’ dies to cut out the letters, and used both the cut out,and the negative space…a bit like a BOGOF😂 (Buy one get one free!)
For the two bottom cards(same) I used my blending brush to create a subtle background in Seaside Spray. Then added a large black Star, silver star and a small Seaside Spray star. I adhered the letters with tombow glue, built you could use the adhesive foam and die cut, which create a lovely raised letter. I added some tiny stars, and a little splattering of ink to add texture and interest. I love it!
The top card, I used the negative space from the die cut letters, and adhered to a Seaside Spray piece cut from the scalloped contours dies. I also used the negative space from some black stars I’d cut, which I think links nicely to the lettering. A flash of silver just peeping out along the edge adds a simple shimmer. Again, a few small stars added and another cute card created!
I hope you like my cards and I’ve inspired you to have a go at using your negative space from leftover die cuts!
Love Jane x
