Hey everyone, so today I made a few cards using the same butterfly stamp. It’s from the FREE stamp set available during sale-a-bration with a qualifying purchase. It really is an exquisite set!
My first card was quite simple. I had a layer of white and stamped my butterfly in black. Then used the 2-step stamping technique to stamp Seaside Spray over the butterfly, to create a sort of watercolour look. It’s so easy using the two stamps, it makes it simple to create these effects. I did a little ink splatter with my Stampin write markers, and also used the little ‘dotty’ stamp to stamp some texture around my butterfly. I then stamped my sentiment ‘hello friend’, and attached my layer to my base of Seaside Spray.

My second card I created the same way, but added the flower stamp a few times in Soft Seafoam. I added some bakers twine and also my sentiment I punched out and popped up on dimensionals.
My final card I stepped up! Again, the butterfly was created the same way, but I also used my sponge dauber to add some Misty Moonlight ink just to the inner part of the wings- this gave a lovely depth of colour. I heat embossed with white the leaves a few times, and then used my blending brush to add some very soft colour, just enough to let the leaves show. Again, I added twine and popped up my sentiment on dimensionals, and added a bow. On the top left corner, I used my blending brush to add some colour, I used a scrap torn piece of paper to create a soft line across, and moved it slightly each time, so as to give ‘layers’ of colour. The very top I folded over, to give some added texture. I added some splatters with my Stampin write markers, and I also used some wink of Stella to give some sparkle to my butterfly.
I do hope you like these cards- I love them!
