Hello! We are having a sunny spell of weather at the moment, so making the most of it!
For this card I wanted a rainbow effect so I decided on some watercolouring. I used shimmery white cardstock, and my aqua painter. First, I used the Butterfly Gala stamp set. I stamped my butterfly image in versamark and heat embossed in white. I repeated the image randomly down the left hand side and across the bottom. Then I took my aqua painter and wet the card where I roughly wanted my watercolour. This allows the colour to blend easily.

I then went in a rainbow pattern down the card. I used Poppy Parade, Pumpkin pie, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Pacific Point, and Gorgeous Grape. Let dry.
For the part I hadn’t watercoloured, I die cut a rectangle stitched shape and popped up with some dimensionals. I stamped my sentiment on whisper white and fussy cut around. I then popped this up on dimensionals and adhered to the rectangle.

I added some white bakers twine around the card, and a bow on the top of the rectangle using black glittery ribbon. I decided to use the matching punch to punch some of the tiny butterflies. I used vellum to create some soft subtle butterflies, so as not to take away the focal point of the watercolouring. A few rhinestones finished my card.

I hope you like my rainbow butterflies card, and I’ve inspired you to try it yourself!
