So the challenge this time is to use the colour combinations of: Coastal Cabana, Calypso Coral, and Daffodil Delight. As I so often go for blues(!), I tried my best to not have Coastal Cabana as the main colour (it was hard for me!!)
I brayered Calypso Coral onto the brick embossing folder. This gave a slight hint of the colour on the bricks. I layered this onto Daffodil Delight cardstock. I then punched a 2 1/4″ circle from whisper white and adhered slightly to the right towards the bottom.
Then I stamped in versamark onto Coastal Cabana cardstock, and heat embossed with white. I then fussy-cut around the word. (I used the ‘thanks’ from’Seriously the best’ stamp set- I JUST ADORE this set!)
I flicked a few splatters from my Stampin blends- I used Calypso Coral and Daffodil Delight. I then popped my ‘thanks’ up with dimensionals.
I then decided I wanted a bow, but….I didn’t fancy just white, I wanted to pull in the colours. Soooo….(and here’s a tip!) ….I coloured some white bakers twine with the stampin blends! I used Calypso Coral and Daffodil Delight alternatively.
What a neat trick!
Then I wanted to add some flowers, so I pulled out my ‘lovely flowers’ dies, but I wanted something a bit subtler than using cardstock. So….I grabbed some vellum and coloured it using Calypso Coral light stampin blend!! Full of tips today!!
I die cut the flowers out. Then I decided to have a few darker flowers, so again, grabbed my Stampin blends. This time I coloured using the dark Calypso Coral.
I do hope you liked what I did for this challenge. You can check out everyone else’s here
